Boaters and members of the Iona McGregor community REJOICE!
If you drive along McGregor Boulevard and pass the Marine Max property across from A&W Bulb, you'll notice an 8' silt fence that you can barely see through. Just this past weekend you may have noticed the concrete trucks doing their thing. It has been recently announced that Marine Max will partner with Phelan Family Brands on this awesome venture, who also operates Pincher's Crab Shack and Texas Tony's Rib & Brewhouse.
This is the new home to Deep Lagoon Seafood and Oyster bar, a new 279 seat full service waterfront restaurant. A restaurant of this kind has been a long time coming for the Iona McGregor corridor and will be accessible by land or sea. Deep Lagoon Seafood and Oyster Bar will create 70 new local jobs and will focus on serving the "freshest seafood in Southwest Florida via a partnership with Island Crab Company," according to Ryan West, MarineMax Fort Myers General Manager.
"We are thrilled to expand Deep Lagoon Seafood and Oyster Bar into Fort Myers and have it right on the water at this fantastic location in partnership with Marine Max," stated Phelan Family Brands Owner, Grant Phelan. "The Deep Lagoon concept is a fresh twist on Coastal Casual Cuisine and celebrates everything about the Florida lifestyle," Phelan added.
Deep Lagoon is going to be a super cool addition for the boaters and communities by the water. GCG Construction, owned by Teely Byrd earned the contract for this project.
I'll have to introduce myself since this will certainly be the new "meeting place" for Allan Development Group if you're the seafood, cocktails, and water view type of client! See you there.
